Manoj Kumar Rawat is a senior professional in agriculture, rural banking, and climate finance with over three decades of experience across development finance, commercial banking, rural finance, MSME finance, and climate-linked work.

 

He is the author of The Carbon Trilogy, a practical series that simplifies carbon credits, climate finance, carbon markets, and India’s emerging carbon economy for professionals and serious readers.

As Founder and CEO of Rural Rethink Advisory LLP, he advises development partners, financial institutions, and corporates on climate finance and strategy.

​

His career began as a Scientist-Engineer with ISRO and later included leadership roles at RBL Bank, Fullerton India, NABARD, and IFAD. He has also advised the Government of India, collaborated with leading global institutions, and spoken at major academic and professional forums.

 

He is an alumnus of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology and holds advanced qualifications in finance, governance, ESG, and sustainable finance.

 

Based in Mumbai, he continues to focus on digital innovation and sustainable finance for climate-aligned development.
